So, today at work one of my co-workers brought her son’s gecko. She had taken it to school for his show and tell time but because the little critter doesn’t like his travel cage and 2nd graders can get rather rowdy, she brought it to the office.
Now, I generally don’t like lizards and such, and please, NEVER ask me to hold or even babysit a snake, but holding this little guy seemed to be within my “touching” comfort zone. His name is Dino, and he rather liked crawling around on my hands. Don’t know if it was the lotion I had used earlier or what, but when we transferred him to Tracey, he didn’t stay there long & jumped back to me. A little surprising, but I didn’t jump & we had a time trying to get him to release his grip on my fingers to put him back in the cage.
Holding a gecko was not on my bucket list, but it’s something that I’m sure that neither my husband or sons ever thought I would do.
Here are some photos…
