hectic days

The last few weeks have gone by in a blur! Thanksgiving is always busy & it seems that we forget to be thankful for the things that mean the most to us – family, friends, loved ones.
Last week, my hubby had his not-nearly-annual physical & then had to take a stress test. He failed the stress test the first minute. Now, he is not obese in any stretch of the imagination. He is fairly active, but less so this past year. On Wednesday he goes to a heart specialist. Since we live in the middle of next to nowhere, the specialist is over 100 miles away. That means we will have to leave home before 6:30 in the am. for the nine o’clock appt. or leave the nite before & stay in a hotel.
The thing that bothers me is that we don’t know what is going to be done. The doctor will examine him – that’s a given – but will he need a stint or major surgery? That is the unknown. And while I trust the Lord to do what is best, I am also having passing thoughts about what life would be like without the one person I have spent the last 30 years of my life.
